Ridgeland-- Errors hurt West Union in game one of the 1A state championships on Friday, as Nanih Waiya took a 1-0 series lead after a 15-6 win.
After the Lady Eagles took an early 4-0 lead after the first inning, the Lady Warriors worked its way back into the game, scoring its first run in the second inning and tying the game on a three-run home run by Ryan Holdiness in the third.
Nanih Waiya sent 11 players to the plate in the fourth, scoring seven runs off five hits and three West Union errors.
