A consistent leader for the Eagles throughout his career, West Union’s Chase Taylor earns Player of the Week honors following his performances against Water Valley and Mantachie.

West Union’s Julianna Garner earned top honors in Region 2-1A, named the division Player of the Year and Offensive Player of the Year.
Leading the Lady Eagles to a division title, Garner was one of four players from West Union named to the first team. Joining Garner are Bailey Bogue, Hannah McQuary and Brittany Taylor.
Myrtle had three named to the first team, Keely Chunn, Meshay Cox and Emily Cox, while Ingomar’s Heather Dillard and Reid Little represented the Lady Falcons.

In an evening that pitted county rivals against one another, there was an atmosphere reserved for an intense division game, not a game in early December.

Overcoming a slow start, the Falcons won its third straight game in as many nights, defeating Falkner, 74-36, on Saturday.
