Danielle Taylor has consistently proven over her years at West Union that big things come in small packages. After a successful career with the Lady Eagles, Taylor takes her game to Itawamba Community College, where she will reunite with a familiar face in Head Coach Andy Kirk.

Keeping up with competition is important, and the Union County School District is doing its part to stay on par with others in the state, adding and improving weight rooms at each of the schools.

Despite a loss Wednesday morning in the Northeast Mississippi Coaches Association For Better Baseball Summer Championship series, Chris Basil said he sees a lot of potential in East Union’s young baseball team.

West Union will mark the 50th anniversary of the school this fall, and when the celebration takes place in September, the school will also dedicate a remodeled gym, which is receiving an overhaul this summer.
