It is still early season, but the Lady Eagles are feeling the heat, not only in competition, but literally, with the weather. After defeating Hickory Flat 15-0 on Tuesday, West Union held on for a 13-7 win on the road against the same Lady Rebel squad on Thursday.
“We’re exhausted, and that’s bad this early in the season, but the heat has drained us,” West Union coach Lisa Bogue said. “I don’t think they were taking the team for granted, there was just no energy to do the extra things.”
