  • Lady Eagles advance in playoffs

    West Union

    The Lady Eagles advance to second round action after defeating Tremont, 10-0 and 11-8 on Saturday.

    West Union got on the board first in the second inning of game one, as the Lady Eagles loaded the bases with a walk by Jessica Ganger, and singles by Carley Wilkerson and Robyn Taylor. A bunt by Jessica Gates scored Ganger and kept the bases loaded. West Union would add on one more run in the inning, as Kimberly Jumper walked.

  • Hodges shines in blowout over...

    Ingomar lit up the Rams Tuesday night, taking the doubleheader from Vardaman, 15-0 and 8-4.

    Game one brought a lot of hype, as several and independent scouts graced the ballpark all looking at the Falcons'  pitcher Josh Hodges.

    The senior didn't disappoint, pitching a complete game, while going 3-for-4 at the plate with a walk.

    Hodges' walk came in the first with bases loaded, as Ben Fooshee reached on a walk, and Preston Broom and Tanner McCollum each hit singles.

  • WU sweeps Potts Camp, NA, EU fall

    West Union

    The Eagles belted 42 runs on 27 hits while only giving up three hits in a doubleheader against the Cardinals on Tuesday.

    Devin Brock and Will Basil were on the bump in the respective games, as West Union won 27-2 and 15-0.

    Wesley Jumper, Bo Garrett, Hunter mcQuary, Taylor English, Luke Wait and Brock all had multiple hits in game one, as Garrett knocked two doubles, Jumper a triple and a homerun by Basil rounded out the hitting.

  • NAHS tennis continues winning...

    The Bulldogs picked up two more wins this week on the court, shutting out West Point 7-0 and defeating Pontotoc 5-2 to improve to 7-2 (6-0). Below are the results.

    East Union bounced back by defeating 5A South Panola in archery on Monday, April 6. The Urchins took the match with a score of 2674-2564. Below are the complete team results.

  • West Union picks up weekend wins

    West Union

    After defeating Hickory Flat 10-0 Friday night, the Eagles hosted a doubleheader, featuring North Pontotoc and Walnut on Saturday.

    The Eagles got on the board first versus the Vikings, but that would be the only time the would cross the plate, falling 12-1.

    Taylor English was the bright spot for West Union offensively, as he had a double to lead the Eagles. Devin Brock had the loss in game one, as he gave up 12 runs on 13 hits.

  • Eagles top Urchins in archery...

    West Union avenged a loss to East Union two weeks ago to down the Urchins 2742-2549 last Friday.

    The two teams met in the first match of the season, with East Union winning at home. This time, the Eagles returned the favor at home, as they topped one of the best archery teams in the area in only their first season participating in the sport. Each team's results are listed below.
