Even illness couldn’t stop one Lady Bulldog senior from bringing in the game-winning run. Having sat out until the final inning, Tamariaa Ivy stepped to the plate with bases loaded, one out, and with two strikes against her, hit the ball out to left field, bringing in the deciding run, giving New Albany the 10-9 win against Corinth on Monday.

A project at least three years in the making was completed earlier this month; a commitment the New Albany School District has made to its track program.

Itawamba comes to New Albany on Friday, bringing lots of speed on defense and talent on offense, including Ashton Shumpert.

It was emphasized much throughout the evening that it’s just a football game and to remember the important things in life.

In an evening filled with lots of emotion, New Albany took the field, arm-in-arm, and maintained that unity throughout its 28-21 win over Ripley on Friday night.

For the players, it was not only about earning a fourth straight win over their rival, but also for playing for their coach and the memory of his late wife.
