A childhood dream became a reality for two Lady Bulldogs on Thursday, as Morgan Beaty and Shannon Goode were among four athletes who signed with Northeast softball in Booneville.

"Both of these girls bring a tremendous amount of leadership to the team, and their abilities both on and off the field are a huge impact, not only at the school, but also in the community," New Albany coach Tom Zahller said.

New Albany soccer has produced several players who have continued their careers at Itawamba Community College. Adding to that list is Lady Bulldog senior, Olivia Dunnam, who signed with the school on Wednesday.

Focusing on more playing time for the younger players on the team, New Albany picked up a convincing 85-32 win over Vardaman in the Renasant Girls Challenge last Saturday.

It has been a year of transition, going from the height of her high school career to starting fresh in New Albany.
