  • Brown named 'Player of the Week'

    Kareem Brown was named the Bulldogs' "Player of the Week" for the September 24 game against M.S. Palmer.

    Brown totaled 155 yards on offense (56 rushing/ 99 receiving) and two touchdowns, while recording three tackles on defense, a blocked punt and 24 yards on a kickoff return for special teams in New Albany's 31-0 win against the Dragons. Pictured with Brown is NAHS head coach Ron Price. The "Player of the Week" is sponsored by Bancorp South.

  • Lady 'Dawgs return to postseason

    New Albany has been on a six year playoff hiatus in slow pitch, and that drought was put to an end Tuesday night. The Lady Bulldogs completed their regular season slate with a 5-2 win over Tishomingo County, and with a  little help from Pontotoc defeating North Pontotoc, the Lady ‘Dawgs enter the playoffs as the number two seed in Division 1-4A.

  • Creekmore named USTA 'Coach of the Year'

    Warner Creekmore has long been an advocate for tennis in New Albany. From helping co-found the town’s beginner and junior summer programs to coaching New Albany High to a 4A state championship this past spring, Creekmore’s love for the sport is widely known and appreciated. Warner was honored for her efforts, as she was named the “Coach of the Year” for the state of Mississippi by the United States Tennis Association this week.

  • Bulldogs slay Dragons on Homecoming

    In a physical battle versus an undefeated opponent, the Bulldogs posted their third shutout of the season, defeating M.S. Palmer 31-0, to improve to 6-0.

     

    New Albany’s offense started slow, only producing a field goal on their opening drive, and Tyler Basil connected with Taylor Goode, making it 10-0 after the first.

    “Offensively, we didn’t do the things we wanted to do tonight like we’ve asked our kids, so we’ll work on that next week and hopefully get better there,” NAHS head coach Ron Price said.

    Josh Creekmore was named the Bulldogs' "Player of the Week" for the September 17 game at Independence.

    Creekmore recorded six total tackles (five solo, one assist), an interception and fumble recovery in New Albany's 56-6 win over the Wildcats. Pictured with Creekmore is NAHS head coach Ron Price. The "Player of the Week" is sponsored by Bancorp South.

  • New Albany runs over Wildcats

    The Bulldogs had no problems improving to 5-0, though the game started off positive for Independence.

     

    The Wildcats opening drive was their most productive of the evening, ending in a touchdown by Tavion Newsom.

    Staying poised, the Bulldogs reeled off 56 unanswered points, leading to the 56-6 win, and the defense responded with another big performance.
