  • Seniors named 'Players of the Week'

    The senior class was named the “Players of the Week” for the Oct. 29 game versus Tishomingo County.

    Seniors include: Reggie Webb, Dalvin Carr, Tyler Basil, Sam Jackson Dunnam, Joshua Googe, Taylor Goode, Shaq Garner, Kareem Brown, Taylor McCreight, Kelvin Worship, Shane Smith, Zach Hand, Timothy Abrams, Zach Marise, Shawn Smith, Collin Stubblefield, Mario Waldrop, Keat Johnson, Wade Simmons, Luke Foley, Austin Richey and Jonathen Jew. The “Player of the Week” is sponsored by Bancorp South.

  • Remembering the past, encouraging the future

    About once a month, a reunion takes place around New Albany. The occasional lunch date with former Bulldog coach, Bill Ward, gives the gentlemen who played football in the 1960’s time to reminisce on the program in the that era, which is parallel to this year, as New Albany completed their first undefeated regular season since 1963-64.

  • Bulldogs end regular season at 11-0

    New Albany capped a perfect regular season with a 49-6 win over Tishomingo County at Kitchens’ Field Friday night.

     

    “It’s been a good year. We never expected it to be this good, but to finish the regular season at 11-0, I have to give all the credit to our coaches,” NAHS head coach Ron Price said. “They’ve worked extremely hard making sure these kids know the game of football and are ready to play every Friday night.”

  • Goode named 'Player of the Week' versus Shannon

    Taylor Goode earned his second 'Player of the Week' honor after his performance against Shannon last Friday night.

    Goode totaled 107 receiving yards off seven receptions and two touchdowns in the Bulldogs' 27-13 win over the Red Raiders. Pictured with Goode is NAHS head coach Ron Price. The 'Player of the Week' is sponsored by Bancorp South.

  • New Albany soccer preps for new season

    New Albany soccer is preparing for their new season, taking part in pre-season action this weekend.
    Both squads are coming off playoff appearances in 2009, with the Bulldogs boasting a second round appearance, as well as a division championship and season sweep of rival Pontotoc.

  • Defense leading 10-0 Bulldogs

    It is all in the numbers. Most of the stats heard by Bulldog fans this season have come from the offense, as records are falling, and the ‘Dawgs are averaging 36.7 points a game.

  • New Albany wins Traceway Championship

    Exciting things have taken place at Kitchens’ Field all season, and Tuesday night, the middle school Bulldogs capped their season with a win over Amory in the Traceway Conference Championship.

    New Albany’s offense has several weapons, but none are more surprising than the rise of senior fullback Kelvin Worship.

  • Division Champs!

    For the past two seasons, New Albany head coach Ron Price preached to his team that they were moving in the right direction. Starting with his staff’s first win in 2008, the Bulldogs have battled heartbreaking losses and achieved signature wins. After Friday night, they now call themselves division champions after defeating Shannon, 27-13.
