New Albany’s Riley Alef had a two-hit performance, helping the North team to a 12-11 win over the South in the Crossroads Diamond Club All-Star game last Saturday in Pearl.
The former Bulldog drove in two runs and had a perfect day at the plate, going 2-for-2 with two RBIs, earning him Offensive Player of the Game honors.
The win snapped a five-game losing streak for the North, who last won in the large division classification in 2006.
The South team went ahead early, 7-0 and at one point led 11-4 going into the seventh inning.
