Northeast Mississippi Community College's men and women's basketball teams picked up a sweep on the road Thursday night against Coahoma Community College.
 
Lady Tiger head coach Ricky Ford's squad opened the sweep picking up a win in the opener 59-47.
 
The Lady Tigers (7-6, 2-1 in North Division) were led by Anna Brooke Page's 16-point, seven-board effort, followed by Tiffany Martin who added 15 points along with Amber Johnson's 11-point, five-rebound game.
 

For members of the Northeast Mississippi Community College’s softball program over the holiday break, the focus was not on the diamond but Prentiss County as members of the Lady Tiger softball team took time out to give back to those less fortunate.
 
As with tradition, members of the Lady Tiger softball team took part in the annual Breakfast with Santa held at the community center at Booneville City Park, spent a day at assisted living and mental health complexes sharing joy and singing Christmas carols and adopted a family for the holidays.

Northeast Mississippi Community College men’s and women’s basketball teams will come off the holiday break and head straight for the hardwood.
 
Northeast is scheduled for six games in five days – three men and three women contests – just a day after classes resume on the Booneville campus.
 
Ricky Ford’s Lady Tigers enter 2011 with a 5-5 overall mark and a 1-1 record in the North Division while David Robbins’ Tigers come into the new year with a 3-8 record overall but also stand at 1-1 in the North.

Northeast Mississippi Community College’s softball program will hold a trio of mini softball clinics during its annual Winter Clinic on Saturday, January 29 at Booneville’s Westside City Park.
 
Northeast begins the day with an All Skills Camp from 8:30-10:30 a.m. The concept of the clinic is designed to cover the mechanics, skills and drills to help players become better at the game of softball. The clinic is open to all softball players in the first through twelfth grades.
