A few weekends ago Twanda Black enjoyed having her brother and sister-in-law, Frank and Donna Bryant from Fredericksburg, Texas to visit in her home. Also visiting Twanda was her niece Katie Bryant, from San Marcus, Texas.
At the time of this writing, today is Tuesday, Sept. 28. September is almost gone. Where has this year gone? Have we just stood still and let it pass? Well I hope not, but it does seem that the years pass swiftly now a days. Even the younger generation are expressing themselves to that degree.
This September marks the five-year anniversary of the William Faulkner Literary Garden. The garden, which is located at the Union County Heritage Museum, was built next door to William Faulkner’s birthplace.
Right outside of New Albany off of Highway 15 North is a homestead and estate nestled on 150 acres of rolling hills, a lake, a garden, and an area complete with naturalistic scenery. This place is known as the Concord Inn and is the area’s most recent addition to New Albany and Union County accommodations.
Those living in the Martintown community may have noticed a new restaurant in town. It may just look like an aluminum building, but Top Quality Meats and Diner cooks a variety of home cooked meals for customers every weekend.
