  • Disappointed in 'Ask Amy'

    Dear Editor:

My opinion may not be the same as many, but I find the “Ask Amy” article disappointing.

Personally, I don’t think sexually explicit material should ever be printed in a hometown local newspaper.
When I noticed that Amy worked for the Chicago Tribune, I’m really not surprised. Surely she’s addressing a clientele whose morals are very low as compared to the Gazette readers in Union County.
Thanks for your understanding of my thoughts regarding this.

  • Don't ban pit bulls

    Dear Editor:

I read Friday, Jan. 14, about the proposed ban discussed on pit bulls and had an aching numbness in my stomach because I am a proud owner of a loving family pit.
I think it is wrong to even propose a ban on them. If you do your research, pit bulls are not born vicious; they are made that way by their owners. I have neighbors whose dogs are not pit bulls that are extremely vicious, and I don’t see any proposed ban on them.

  • Grand marshal says thanks

    Dear Editor:

Thank you, thank you, thank you for giving me a memory I will never forget?

I was honored and humbled by being chosen as the Grand Marshal for the New Albany, Union County Christmas parade.
I have heard from many students and my phone is still ringing. I love New Albany and Union County.
