Three Rivers Planning and Development District, in partnership with Calhoun, Chickasaw, Itawamba, Lafayette, Lee, Monroe, Pontotoc and Union counties’ Boards of Supervisors, has received a 2012 Innovation Award from the National Association of Development Organizations (NADO) for the implementation of the CodeRed Weather Alert System.

The ninth annual New Albany Main Street Association “Paint The Town” will be taking place again during Tallhatchie RiverFest. This is a free art activity for children to come and express their artistic talent.
