A New Albany man indicted by a Union County grand jury for allegedly having an inappropriate relationship with a minor will soon have his day in court.

Area schools were put on high alert Monday morning following reports of a possible school shooting, law enforcement and school officials said Monday.

The New Albany Gazette is offering each person who qualifies to run in the upcoming municipal elections the chance to introduce themselves to the voters.

The New Albany Board of Aldermen voted last week to seek federal funding in order to improve walking and biking paths around the city schools in order to decrease traffic and offer better transportation alternatives.
