Obituaries

Glenda Dewanda Cato, 73, of Blue Springs, died April 23, 2011, at her home.

Mamie Alice Williams Drummond, 92, of New Albany, died Sunday, April 24, 2011 at Dogwood Plantation in New Albany.  

Funeral services were at 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 26, 2011 at United Funeral Service with Rev. Tom Sumrall and Rev. Earl McAnally officiating. Interment was in Glenfield Memorial Park. United Funeral Service was in charge of arrangements.
She is survived by her daughter, Donna Tate of Myrtle;  two granddaughters, and four great grandsons.

Abraham Waldrop, 64, of Blue Mountain, died Jan. 27, 2011 at his home.

Survivors include three sisters, nieces, nephews and a host of other family and friends.
Visitation will be from 1 to 7 p.m., Friday at the funeral home.
Services will be at 2 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 5, 2011 at Antioch Baptist Church in Blue Mountain with Rev. H.G. Evans officiating.  Interment will be in Academy Cemetery.  Serenity Funeral Home of New Albany is in charge of arrangements.
