Anyone interested in listening to some good fiddlers and enjoy looking at unique quilt designs should come out to the Union County Fairgrounds for the Down From The Hills Fiddlers Contest and the third annual quilt show on Friday and Saturday May 14th and 15th.

New members were initiated into the Pilot Club of New Albany meeting April 14, 2009. These members were Ginger Henry and Balinda Denton.

Anchor Clubs from Union County were present at the meeting. Anchor members from Union County include the following: Summer Smith, president at East Union; Chelsea Daniel, secretary, Suzanne Hill, president, and Austin Portis, treasurer, all of Ingomar; Elizabeth Day, president-elect, Mary Katherine Kitchens, secretary, Carly Grisham, president, all of New Albany.

Raven Watson, the daughter of Tanya Roberts and Lester Roberts of New Albany, donated 10 inches of her hair for Locks of Love. Watson got her hair cut by Diana Watson at The Ritz in New Albany. She is a kindergartener at East Union Attendance Center.
