Milestones

Lacey Marie Jackson celebrated her third birthday on January 4, 2009. She celebrated on January 24th with a party at home with family and friends. Helping her celebrate was her big sister Destiny who turned 9 years old on January 15, 2009. She is the daughter of Jeff and Beverly Jackson. Her grandparents are Peggy Smith, Cecil and Linda Smith and John and Linda Taylor. Her great grandmothers are Mattie Mayo and Virgina Hargett.

Vickie Lynne' celebrated her sixth birthday on January 10, 2009 at her home. Victoria Lynne' Jennings is the daughter of Serina and William Jennings of Etta. Vickie is the sister of 3-year-old Mikel Jennings. She is the granddaughter of Val and Bob Johns of Palatka, Fla., Terry Tullis of Myrtle, Miss., Grover and Heidi Jennings of New Albany, Miss. and Charlotte Jennings of Box Elder, SD. She is the great-granddaughter of Freda Smith of Rapid City, SD. The theme for her party was Winter Wonderland and family and friends were invited.

Harold and Juanita Cobb of the Ingomar community celebrated their 76th wedding anniversary  December 24, 2008.

Robi Aneice Robertson and Darrell Wayne Milan were united in marriage November 8, 2008 at 2 p.m. at St. Mary United Church in New Albany, Miss. Rev. W. T. Mayfield officiated the wedding. A reception was held immediately afterwards in the church fellowship hall.

The bride is the daughter of Ruby Robertson and the late Denver Robertson. She is the granddaughter of the late Henderson and Ozelia Eslinger and the late Dewitt and Edna Robertson.
