    Mr. and Mrs. Larry Eugene Wagner of Deerfield Beach, Florida announce the engagement of their daughter, Lisa Renee to Mr. Thomas Haywood Hamilton IV of Atlanta, Georgia. Mr. Hamilton is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Haywood Hamilton III of New Albany, Mississippi.

  • Letson, Ausburn to wed May 9

    Bob and Dale Letson of Blue Springs are proud to announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter Janet Letson of Blue Springs to Tommy Ausburn of Myrtle. The bride-elect graduated from East Union Attendance Center in 1989 and also received an LPN degree from Itawamba Community College in 2007. She is currently employed as a nurse at Graceland Care Center in Pontotoc. The prospective groom is the son of Mike and Sherry Ausburn and the late Cheryl Smithey of Myrtle. He graduated from West Union Attendance Center from 1995. He is currently employed at Union Grocery.

  • Clayton, Bowlin to wed May 2

    Mr. and Mrs. Roger Vance Clayton of New Albany are proud to announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter Sallye Kathryn Clayton of New Albany to William Johnson Bowlin of New Albany. She is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Lawson Andrew Harville of Corinth, Mrs. Joyce Clayton and the late Mr. and Mrs. Joel Clayton of Potts Camp. Sallye graduated from Booneville High School in 2004 as a Hall of Fame graduate and also received her Associate of Arts degree in Accounting from Northeast Mississippi Community College in 2006.

  • Holcomb Anniversary

    The children of Brother Sam Holcomb and Reba Rucker Holcomb would like to invite you to a wedding reception. It will take place on Sunday, April 26 between 2-4 p.m. at Cairo Baptist Church. The couple exchanged vows on Friday, April 10, 2009 during a private ceremony at home. Come celebrate with us, No gifts, please.

     

  • Stanford Anniversary

    Thomas and Shirley Stanford will be celebrating their 55th wedding anniversary April 26, 2009 from 2 to 4 p.m. at the New Albany Church of God. The Stanfords have two children named Rebecca Mayo and Alton, Deborah Hall and David, two grandchildren Tony Hall and Andy Mayo. A reception was given in honor by their children.

     

  • Birth of Ella Grace Jolly

    Jennifer and Dave Jolly of New Albany welcomed daughter Ella Grace Jolly into the world on February 24, 2009 at 1:46 p.m. at the Tupelo Women's Hospital in Tupelo, Miss. She weighed 7 pounds, 1 ounce and was 18 ¾ inches long. Ella was greeted by three brothers: Trey Jolly, age 12, Peyton Jolly, age 9, and Elijah Jolly, age 6. She is the granddaughter of David and Allene Jolly of New Albany, Steve and Janice Albright of Tupelo, and the late Glen Rhodes of New Albany. Her great-grandparents are Polly Jolly of Okolona, Estelle Rhodes of New Albany, and Bonnie Malone of Blue Springs.

  • Birth of John Marlin Scott.

    Jeff and Tonya Scott of Shannon are pleased to announce the arrival of their son, John Marlin Scott. He was born Friday, March 27, 2009 at 2:30 p.m. in the Women's Hospital in Tupelo. He weighed 3 pounds, 15 ounces and was 17 inches long. He is welcomed home by two sisters Callie and Cari. His grandparents are Eddie and Kathy Wilburn of Fulton; Johnie and Sheila Scott of Tupelo; Callie Ruth Frederick and the late James Marlin Frederick of Shannon. His great-grandparents are David and Lynda Coleman of New Albany and Isabelle Scott of Sherman.

     

  • Birth of Avery Lane Watson

    Lacosta and Tim Watson of New Albany welcomed daughter Avery Lane Watson into the world on January 23, 2009 at 8:06 a.m. at Baptist Memorial Hospital – Union County in New Albany. She weigehd 10 pounds, 4 ounces and was 19 ¾ inches long. She was greeted by four-year-old brother John Hayden Watson. Avery is the granddaughter of David and Linda Snipes of New Albany, Mary Nowlin of New Albany and the late Lynn Watson of Pleasant Ridge.

  • Anderson's 55th wedding anniversary

    Bill and Sue Anderson of New Albany celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary on April 1, 2009. They were married April 1, 1954 in Tupelo at First Methodist Church. They have a daughter named Nancy Kesselring (Jim) of Leesburg, Va., a son named Richard Anderson of Deys Gays, NC, and two grandsons Will Anderson (Whitney) of Jacksonville, Fla. and Jan Anderson of Deys Gays, NC. They had a private party at their home. They had their honeymoon at Chickasaw State Park in Henderson, Tenn. in 1954 and returned to the park for their 55th anniversary.

  • Wade, Hubbard to wed May 2

    Jan Wade and the late Joseph Wade of Saltillo are proud to announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter Joanna Carol Wade of Oxford to Britt Adam Hubbard of Oxford. Joanna is the granddaughter of Clara Conway and the late Bill Conway of Alpine and the late Mr. and Mrs. Doc Wade of Guntown. She graduated from Southside High School in Southside, Ala. in 2001. She also received her Bachelors degree in Communication with an emphasis in Public Relations from Mississippi State University in 2006.
