  • Gabriel Ligon

    Wade and Shanna Ligon of New Albany, Miss. are proud to announce the birth of their son Gabriel Reese Ligon.

    Gabriel was born at 10:09 a.m. on May 21, 2009 at North Mississippi Women’s Hospital in Tupelo, Miss. He weighed 6 pounds, 13 ounces and measured 18 inches long.

    Gabriel has one sister named Savanna Leigh Harlow.

    His grandparents are Larry and Judy Ligon of New Albany, Tim and Pam May of Saltillo, and the late Steve Duggar of Blue Springs.

  • Wilson, Blomberg to wed June 20

    Dr. and Mrs. Buster Wilson of Ecru, Miss. are proud to announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter Sarah Whitney Wilson of Ecru to Duane Russell Blomberg of Chattanooga, Tenn.  The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. Norris A. Robertson and the late Mrs. Ruth Denson Robertson of Myrtle, Miss. And the late Mr. and Mrs. Fred E. Wilson, Sr. of Richland, Miss. Sarah is a 2005 graduate of North Pontotoc Attendance Center and a current student at Bryan College majoring in Business Administration.  The prospective groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs.

    Michelle Dillard of New Albany, Miss. and Donald and Kathy Dillard of Hickory Flat, Miss. are proud to announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Katherine (Katie) Diane Dillard of Baldwyn, Miss. to Criag Allen Treadaway of Baldwyn.

    The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Kathy Cleveland of New Albany, Eddie and Rena Sisco of Thaxton, Miss., Gerald Wayne Dillard of Blue Springs, MIss., and Bill and Diane Lindsey of Nashville, Tenn.

    Jason and Leslie Roe of Myrtle are proud to announce the birth of their son Landon Montgomery Roe.

    Landon was born at 12:06 a.m. on May 7, 2009 at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Union County. He weighed 7 pounds, 2 ounces and measured 19 ½ inches long.

    He is the grandson of Billy and Tina Montgomery of New Albany, Randy and Cathy Bedford of New Albany, and Walter Roe of Booneville.

  • Stanton Wilson

    Stanton Scott Wilson celebrated his fifth birthday on April 18, 2009 with a Spider-Man party at his home with family and friends. His actual birthday was April 16th. Stanton is the son of Scott and Tonya Wilson of Myrtle and has three brothers, Christian, Jonathon, and Nathan Wilson. His grandparents are Alice and the late Ray Dean of Nimitz, W.V. and Mary Ann and Kenneth Wilson of the Macedonia community.

  • Swain, Cooper to wed June 20

    Greg and Amy Swain of Cornersville are proud to announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter Anna Gayle Swain to Matthew Wade Cooper of Potts Camp.

    The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Joe and Schwonda Foley of Etta and Gary and Shirley Swain of Cornersville.  She graduated from West Union Attendance Center in 2007 and then attended Northwest Mississippi Community College where she received her Associates Degree in Nursing.  She is currently employed as a Registered Nurse with Baptist Memorial Hospital in Oxford. 

  • Pariss Nyla Ni'Shea Mosley turned 4 years old.

    Pariss Nyla Ni'Shea Mosley celebrated her fourth birthday on June 13, 2009 at Ballard Park in Tupelo, Miss. Pariss is the daughter of Shontell Mosley of Tupelo. Her actual birthday is June 14th. She is the granddaughter of Karl Shamblin and Don Mosley of Tupelo. The party's theme was Dora the Explorer and a host of friends attended the party.

    Shanna and Wade Ligon of New Albany, Miss. welcomed son Gabriel Reese Ligon into the world on May 21, 2009 at 10:09 a.m. at North MS Women's Hospital in Tupelo, Miss. He weighed 6 pounds, 13 ounces and was 18 inches long. He is the grandson of Larry and Judy Ligon of New Albany, Tim and Pam May of Saltillo, and the late Steve Duggar of Blue Springs, Miss. His great-grandparents are Richard and Joy Goudy of New Albany , the late Clarence and Geraldine LIgon of Middleton, Tenn., the late W.T. and Eunice Robison of Guntown,  and the late J.W. and Ruth Duggar of Blue Springs.

  • Birth of Michael James Clayton

    Jennifer and Joseph Clayton of New Albany, MIss. welcomed son Michael James Clayton into the world on May 26,2009 at 9:17 a.m. at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Union County in New Albany. He weighed 7 pounds, 11 ounces and was 20 inches long. He is the grandson of John and LInda Davis of New Albany, Shelia Ford of Memphis, Tenn., and the late Lanny Clayton. His great-grandparents are Bill Clayton of Blue Springs, Ruth Brooks of Jackson, Tenn., Beatric Watson of Illinois, the late Robert Davis , and the late Carlos and Virginia Goddard of Illinois.
