    Pam and Charles Pannell of Myrtle are proud to announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter Emily Suzanne Hill to Matthew Blake Potts, both of Myrtle.

    The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Sue and Gene Roaten and Kathryn Pannell and the late Hershell Pannell, all of New Albany.

    Danny and Kim Chism of Ecru, Miss. are proud to announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter Samantha Chism of Ecru to Jay Potts of Myrtle.

    The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Jimmy Davis of Ecru, Bobby and Peggy McGill of Guntown, and the late James and Macie Jewell Chism of Keownville.

  • The Pratts united February 12

    Tina Jackson and Courtney Pratt were united in marriage February 12, 2010 in New Albany, Miss. at the Church of Acts with Charlie Ganey as the officiating minister.

    The bride is the daughter of Robert and Mary Ann Jackson and her grandparents are the late John and Mary Ann Carney.

    The bridegroom is the son of Boyd and Pennie Sanders.

    The bride was given away in a unique way by having all of her friends and family members in the congregation announce, “We do.”

  • Alderson, Waugh to wed March 13

    Mr. and Mrs. Ricky Alderson of Potts Camp, Miss. are proud to announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter Deanna Alderson of Potts Camp to Rodney Waugh of Duck Hill.

    The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Ms. Frances Westmoreland and the late James C. Westmoreland and Mrs. Betty and the late Clyde W. Alderson, all of Potts Camp.

    Deanna is a 2005 graduate of Potts Camp Attendance Center and received her Associates degree from Northwest Mississippi Community College in 2008. She is formerly employed with the Bank of Holly Springs.

  • Jackson, Pratt to wed February 12

    Robert and Mary Ann Jackson of Kingwood, Texas are proud to announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter Tina Marie Jackson of New Albany, Miss. to Courtney Tremaine Pratt of New Albany.

    The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mary Ann Carney and the late John Carney of Cumberland, Md. and the late Roy and Myrtle Jackson of DeKalb, Ill.

    Tina is a 1990 graduate of DeKalb High School and is currently employed as Circulation Manager at the New Albany Gazette.

  • The Fosters celebrate 25 years

    Howard and Delorise Foster of New Albany will celebrate their 25th wedding anniversary on January 9, 2010.

    The ceremony will take place in the fellowship hall at Watson Grove Baptist Church in New Albany at 4 p.m.

    The date of their actual wedding was January 11, 1985.

    Their children and grandchildren include Reginald Ezell of Georgia, Howard L. Simmons, Anderson and Jodi Parks, Howard, India, and Meme Simmons and Kaye E. Parks of New Albany, and Tenesha and Ladarious Ezell of Tupelo.

    Jennifer Elizabeth Childers and Ronnie Clay Goudy were united in marriage August 22, 2009 at six o’clock in the evening at First Baptist Church in New Albany with Reverend Bill Foley officiating the ceremony.

    The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Childers of New Albany. She is the granddaughter of Ms. Elizabeth Guthrie and the late Mr. Reese Guthrie, as well as the late Mr. and Mrs. Oliver Childers, all from Myrtle.

  • The Hamiltons celebrate 34 years

    Pastor and Mrs. Robert L. Hamilton Sr. will celebrate their 34th Year Love Drive Anniversary Celebration on Sunday, October 25, 2009 at 4 p.m. at Golden Gate Cathedral Church of God in Christ in New Albany,

    Miss. Special guests will be Supt. John H. Bennet and 15th Street Church of God in Christ from West Memphis, Ark.

    Many other out-of-town guests are expected. Everyone is welcome to come out for these services.

    Lisa Renee Wagner and Thomas Haywood Hamilton IV were united in marriage on May 2, 2009 at 6 p.m. at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Key West, Florida.

    The Very Reverend Donald Sullivan officiated the double-ring ceremony.

    The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Larry Eugene Wagner of Deerfield Beach, Fla.

    She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Howard Wagner of Lake Worth, Fla. and Mr. and Mrs. Paul Charles Welsh of The Villages, Fla.
