WU competes in three-team bowling match

West Union's bowling teams recently playing in a three-team match with Starkville and East Webser, wih the Eagles and Lady Eagles coming out on top in both.

On the girls side, West Union shut out Starkville and East Webster, winning all lanes, 8-0.

Monica Gallik bowled the high series with a 356, while Jenna Nolley scored the high game with a 164.

Also contributing in the win for West Union was Mironda Simmons, who bowled a 149 in her first game, Jessica Clark with a 155 in her second game and April Joyner with a 158 in her third game.

The boys took down both Starkville and East Webster, 5-3 and 8-0 respectively.

Austin Speck bowled the high series with a 614, while  Brandon Scott bowled a 226 for the high game.

Specks' highest game was a 211 in his second game, while Brently Scott contributed with a 187 in his first game.

The Eagles will face off against East Webster two more times this month, on Thursday, February 5th and Thursday, February 19th.

Both of the teams will face off at the end of the month versus Lafayette in New Albany.
