This weekend, West Union will celebrate the 50th anniversary of the school. Focusing on the athletic side, the school has much to be proud of, and former coach and current Union County Superintendent Ken Basil highlighted many memories from his tenure at the school.
Coaching at West Union from 1993-2001, Basil took on most sports at the school, working with boys and girls basketball, baseball and softball and was there when golf was introduced to the athletic program. School pride is what he enjoyed most about his time at West Union.
