During its weekly meeting Monday morning, the Union County Board of Supervisors approved the Department of Finance’s mileage reimbursement rate decrease going from 58.5 cents per mile to 55 cents per mile.
The Department of Finance recently announced this decrease, citing a decline in gas prices in recent months as a factor in the decision.
The board also approved a request from Rob Anderson, arson investigator for the Union County Sheriff’s Department, for travel money and fees to go to a fire arson investigator class in Pearl on Feb. 11 and12.
