Mississippi law enforcement will be taking part in a national impaired driving crackdown during the weeks surrounding the Labor Day holiday.
The program, called “Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over,” which began Friday and will run through Sept. 3, and is meant to lower fatalities due to drunk driving during the weeks surrounding Labor Day.
Robert Hancock from the Mississippi Department of Public Safety said that the goal of this campaign is to save lives.
