 Chancellor Dan Jones of the University of Mississippi didn’t have to get involved in controversy by banning the sports medley “From Dixie With Love” at university football games.

It would have been easy to just ignore the issue of students and others chanting “The South will rise again” during the song as it was being played by the university band. But he didn’t, and we admire him for it.
