Smith, Fitts to wed May 30

Ray and Elizabeth Smith of New Albany announce the engagement of their daughter Kimberly Nicole Smith to Christopher Adam Fitts, son of Coy and Kim Fitts of Myrtle and Terry and Lori Dowty of New Albany. The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Nathan and CleleMae Smith and James and Merita Bagwell, all of Myrtle. She was a 2006 graduate of Myrtle High School. In 2008, she earned an Associate of Arts degree in Accounting from Itawamba Community College where she was a member of Indian Delegation, Phi Beta Kappa, Student Government, and the Homecoming Court. She will graduate with a Bachelor's degree in Accounting from the University of Mississippi in May 2010. The prospective groom is the grandson of the late Wanda Fitts, Lynn and Shirley Fitts, Larry and Gayle Jarvis, and Joel and Janice Hall, all of New Albany. Christopher is employed as a diesel mechanic at Big M Transportation in Hickory Flat, Miss. The couple will exchange vows May 30, 2009 at 2 p.m. at Myrtle Baptist Church. A reception will follow in the church fellowship hall. Family are friends are invited to attend.
