Sadie Childers to be christened

Jade and Caleb Childers of New Albany are proud to announce the christening of their four-month-old daughter Sadie Elizabeth Childers. She will be christened at 12 p.m. on May 9, 2009 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church with Father Mario Solorzano performing the christening ceremony.

Sadie has a four-year-old brother named John Brady Childers. Her godparents are Laura Megan Pierce of New Albany and Michael C. James of New Albany.

She is the granddaughter of John and Theresa Childers, Patrick and Dianne Pierce, and has a step-grandfather named Robert Patton, all of New Albany. Her great-grandparents are Sarah Pierce of Oxford, James Pierce of New Albany, Mose and Ann Stokes of New Albany, Hazel Hall of New Albany, the late Everett Childers, and the late Marlen Hall. Her great-great-grandmother is Virginia Bishop of Oxford.
