 Gervie Allred, 80

SFC (Ret.) Gervie L. Allred, age 80, of Copperas Cove passed away Sunday, September 20, 2009 in a Temple hospital.

Gervie was born July 21, 1929 in Union County, Mississippi to Connie Allred and Clifford (Miller) Allred.

He served in the United States Army from 1951 until May 31, 1973 while serving he was in Germany, France, Vietnam and Korea. He received two Bronze Service Stars to the Vietnam Service Medal; the Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal; the Good Conduct Medal Clasp, Bronze, five loops and the Bronze Star Medal.
