 J.B. Burks, 84

J. B. Burks, 84, of Etta, died Monday, August 17, 2009 at his home. He was born June 6, 1925 in Durant, Oklahoma to the late Southern Higgs and Delia Mae Busby Burks. He served with the 4th Marine Division during World War II and received a Purple Heart for his service at Iwo Jima. He was honorably discharged as a Corporal. He was retired from J.E. Love Co. He was a member of Salem United Methodist Church.
