New Albany tennis sweeps Senatobia, golf splits vs. Oxford

New Albany golf and tennis were in action on Tuesday, taking on Senatobia in tennis and Oxford in golf.
The Chargers topped the Bulldogs in golf by 10 strokes, 162-172. Ryne Stanford was the medalist for the match, shooting a 38 for New Albany. Other scores for New Albany were: Jake Cissom 43, Will Robbins 44, Boone Faulkner and Jack Cooper 47.
Ward Toler was the top finisher for Oxford, shooting a 39.
Oxford also edged New Albany in JV boys action, taking the match by one stroke, 223-224. Dalton Hall was the top finisher for New Albany, shooting a 52. Other scores: Dean Garrett and Austin Heard 56 and Chandler Cochran 60.
New Albany girls defeated Oxford, 94-130. Lauren Dunlap was the medalist, shooting a 44, followed by Lucy Martin with 50 and Lenzi Sanderson 51. Mary Randle Ivy led Oxford, shooting 61.
In tennis, New Albany shut out Senatobia, 7-0.
Scores for the tennis match are as follows: boys singles Mark Robbins (NA) defeated T. Newman, 6-0, 6-0; boys doubles Christopher Scott/Christian Scott (NA) defeated J. Norris B. Roberts, 6-0, 6-0; Parker Nail/Christopher Shands (NA) defeated J. Norris/A. Fernado, 6-2, 6-2.
Girls singles Morris Kelly Clayton (NA) defeated E. Newman, 6-0, 6-0; girls doubles Olivia Dunnam/Hannah Anderson (NA) defeated M. Magee/A. Leggett, 6-1, 6-3; Whitney Littlejohn/Darby Mills (ND) defeated M. Shaw/C. Coleman,  6-0, 6-0; Mixed  doubles Elleigh Hall Walter Smith (NA) defeated C. Rowan/ C. Cossar, 6-0 6-0.
