New Albany has appealed to the Mississippi High School Activities Association after the organization released the new division alignments, effective in the fall.
NAHS currently plays in Division 1-4A in all sports, but will move to 2-4A in the fall, while slow pitch softball will play in 3-4A.
The current issue lies in slow pitch, where the Lady ‘Dawgs will be in a division with Rosa Fort, Lewisburg, Cleveland, Greenwood and Humphrey’s County, all teams that are at least an hour away traveling wise.
