NA's Smith among NEMCC athletes honored

A quintet of Northeast Mississippi Community College baseball players have been honored for their success on the field during the 2010-11 season.
 
Corey Smith of New Albany and Jacob Long of Vardaman were named to the Mississippi Association of Community/Junior Colleges (MACJC) All-State first team whileTrae Allison of Hernando and Will Wallis of Ripley were named to the All-State second team.
 
Jordan Gurley of Corinth was awarded with a National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) All-Region XXIII golden glove selection at third base.
