Like many school districts across the state of Mississippi, both New Albany and Union County School Districts are cautiously optimistic about the impact of the $26 billion in emergency aid signed into federal law Tuesday.
The law, if it takes effect like many supporters hope, would bring approximately $250 million to the state’s school district, including $180 million for kindergarten through 12th-grade schools.
