The beautiful, fall foliage from the flat woods to the hill country at the western edge of the community is a sure sign that winter is on the way.  It was an exciting month for the community during the past few weeks as visitors to the corn maze at Shady Grove and to the haunted forest at Hurricane made for busy traffic during October.
