Ingomar never could get things going against Coldwater as the Cougars eliminated the youthful Falcons from the North State Tournament with a 75-57 loss on Thursday.
Coldwater took a 16-10 lead in the first quarter by a six-point effort from Dominic Major, but the Falcons appeared to get on track in the second as they quickly closed in on Cougar six-point edge, but a strong close to the first half allowed the Cougars to take a 36-27 lead at the break.
In the second half it was more of the same as the Falcons struggled to maintain momentum to take a substantial chuck out of the Cougar lead as Ingomar saw Coldwater have an answer for every run they could manage in the final two quarters of play to pick up the 75-57 victory.
Clay Kidd continued his impressive post season play by scoring a game-high 15, Steven Foster 14, Zach Carnell 12, Matt Purvis 9, and Austin Owens added 7 points for Falcons.
Three different Cougars scored in double digits with Jeremy Scott leading the way 15 points.
