Eagles, Urchins advance to state bowling championship

West Union's boys and girls picked up first place finishes at the District Bowling Tournament in Tupelo on March 7th.

West Union and East Union  competed against other 1-3A schools, plus Pontotoc and Cleveland and after finishing  in the top six, both will now move on to the State Bowling Tournament in Jackson.

Brandon Scott led the Eagles in the match, bowling a 846, while freshman Austin Speck bowled an 803.

The top two finishers for the girls were Jessica Clark with a 572 and Jenna Nolley with a 557.
