West Union 5
The Lady Eagles remain undefeated in division play after defeating Strayhorn, 5-2 Tuesday night.
Led by Danielle Taylor, West Union produced nine hits in the game, while Taylor only gave up two runs on one hit from the circle.
Kimberly Jumper and Taylor each had multiple hits, including a double by Taylor, as well as Robyn Taylor.
Strayhorn would have a two-run homerun in the sixth, but that was all the offense they would produce in the game.
The Lady Eagles (9-3, 4-0) will next be in action this weekend in the Union County Tournament at Ingomar.
Ingomar 10 Myrtle 1
Myrtle continues to struggle at the plate, as the Lady Falcons had 10 runs on 10 hits in their victory over the Lady Hawks.
Myrtle's lone run came in the fifth inning, but not before Ingomar had already built a 8-0 lead.
Brittany Edwards and Natalie Frenn each had multiple hits, including a double by Edwards. Shauna Grissom and Amy Fooshee each produced doubles as well.
Jessica Green led the Lady Hawks at the plate, as she hit a double.
Frenn improves to 6-5 on the season, as does Ingomar, who are also 3-0 in division play.
Falkner will be at Ingomar on Thursday before the Lady Falcons play host for the Union County Tournament Friday and Saturday.
Tishomingo County 16
New Albany 12 (game 1)
Seven runs in the fifth helped push Tish. County over the Lady 'Dawgs in the first game of a double header in New Albany.
New Albany had no problems hitting the ball, as they out hit Tish. 13-7, led by Brooke Sides and Ellen Tarrant, each with four hits. Laquinta Jones and Jalanna Cameron each had two hits as well.
Sides picked up the loss, but had a great day at the play, as both her and Tarrant had three doubles.
Leading 3-1 going into the fourth, Tish. would add on two runs, and New Albany would regain the lead at 6-3 going into the fifth, when Tish. would go ahead for good a seven-run inning.
Leading 11-10, New Albany would give up another three runs in the sixth to push Tish. ahead for good in the game.
Sides fell to 7-3 with the loss.
Tishomingo County 14
New Albany 4 (game 2)
New Albany could not find their bats in the second game, as Tish. had 14 runs on as many hits, and four errors by the Lady 'Dawgs in the loss.
Tish. had eight runs in the fourth to take the 13-4 lead, and would end the game in the next inning with a 10-point advantage.
Rebecca Taylor fell to 1-3 with the loss, while New Albany is now 8-8 (2-4) on the year.
Ellen Tarrant and Jalanna Cameron each had doubles to lead New Albany at the plate.
The Lady Bulldogs will be at Pontotoc Thursday night before playing in the Union County Tournament this weekend.
East Union 7 Walnut 3
East Union remains undefeated on the season with the four-point division win Tuesday night.
Walnut got on the board in the first, but the Lady Urchins would have three runs in the bottom half of the frame to take control of the game.
Savannah Alexander improves to 7-0 on the season, as she gave up three runs on five hits.
Stephanie Dillard led East Union with three hits, while Heather Dillard produced a double in the winning effort.
Now 12-0, East Union will travel to Walnut on Thursday before playing in the Union County Tournament this weekend.
