The Dillards celebrate 50 years

John & Ruby Dillard of Blue Springs will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary Feb. 4, 2011. They will be honored at a reception from 2 to 4 p.m. Feb. 5, 2011, at Birmingham Ridge Baptist Church in Saltillo.

The couple met in Sherman and married on Feb. 4, 1961. They have four sons: Johnny Dillard (deceased); Ralph Dillard of Tupelo; Roger Dillard and wife Susan (Downs) of Blue Springs; and Benji Dillard and wife DeAnna (Hill) of Clinton. They have eight grandchildren: Ross Dillard and Ruth Dillard of Potosi, Missouri; Austin Dillard and wife Melanie (Dye) of Blue Springs; Matthew Dillard, Jared Dillard, and Madison Dillard, all of Blue Springs; and Anna Grace Dillard and Jacob Dillard of Clinton. They have two great-grandchildren, Carla Rosna and Graceland Price of Potosi, Mo.
