Freddie B. and Jill Rainer Fortier of Ripley, Miss. welcomed son Brody Smith Fortier into the world at 8:19 a.m. on June 12, 2012 at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Union County in New Albany. He weighed 8 pounds, 1 ounce and measured 19 ½ inches long.

Brody is the grandson of Bobby and Vicki Rainer of New Albany, Judy and Ronnie Heavener of Ripley, and Fred and Jeannie Fortier of Ripley.
He is the great-grandson of Roy and Norma Moffitt of New Albany, Bobby and Elizabeth Rainer of Ripley, the late Fred and Miriam Permenter, and the late Bob and Onie Fortier of Ripley.
