Our community is grieving over the tragic death of Marshuan Braxton, a New Albany High School student, who was swept away by a wave while on a mission trip to Costa Rica.
And well we should be. By all accounts, Marshuan was the kind of young man parents hope their children will be like. He made excellent grades, played football, ran track, and was a member of the high school’s debate team, step team and chorus.
Marshuan was out to do good in his school, the community and the world. He had volunteered in the relief effort in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina.
